Hey Guys,Today we've taken another step towards the improvement of DGEmu and it's magnificent downloads system
Your DPs BonusFirst, we've set all your DPs to be 4 times your daily reset. For most of you, that's 100 Global DPs.Global Downloads Points AccumulationOh yeah you read it correctly - we now allow you to accumulate Global DPs to up to 4 times your daily reset.Everyday, your Global DPs will change to either your daily reset (25) or your current Global DPs plus 40% of your daily reset addition (that is, 10 DPs), the highest of both!For example, if you have 17 global dps today, tomorrow you'll have 27, a day after 37, etc, until it will reach 100 DPs.So now almost every game in DGEmu is accessible to every member, with little patience.The Accumulation FormulaOkay we've wanted the accumulation formula to acknowledge good members, so in the formula we're considering the member's warn level. Where the warn level is added to the calculation of daily points accumulation. That is, if a member has been good and has a -10% warn level, his extra daily DPs will be 11 instead of 10. A member with a +10% warn level will get 9 DPs daily, similarly.The accumulation formula is the following:global_dps + (100 - warn_level) * 0.004 * global_dps_reset
Without a lot of mathematics, For a regular member without warns, it means your current global DPs, plus 40% of your global dps reset, or 10 DPs
What's Next..Well with DPs more reachable to members, we can enlarge the site and support more types of systems.We also intend to add more improvements to the download mechanism, such as resuming and DP refunds in cases of download failures.Obviously we still need money to keep the site up - so we're considering enabling power memberships again (that is, a small monthly payment for enhanced accounts - 10 times more global DPs reset, etc).. we'll touch these issues when they come.If everything works good economically, we'll start expanding to more servers, allowing higher speeds and bigger games (3DS anyone?)Well, enjoy! - Ben

Most Excellent.Question though, is it possible to stack a DP loan on top of this accruement dealie?
This new system sounds like a pretty neat idea to allow bigger downloads without increasing the strain too much, although there are some games larger than 100MB still.And for some reason I have -2.76 static dps, what does that mean?

Wow. Much sweeter update than I was expecting. And yeah, some games are over 100 MB, but DM said this would make almost every game accessible, not all of them. And with just a little effort, you can access the other ones as well.Well done!
This is a great new system.And 3DS? Yes sir!This place is definitely the best place to get Roms.

Nice update!Problem is I wish I knew about it before I clicked on one of my downloads. Once it popped up that I could save it I was like uhhh how is that possible I shouldn't have enough DP's just yet. Than I closed it and re-clicked to see if it was an error and I was like wow I fail lol! Thanks though guys I'll get the game I wanted tomorrow. Don't laugh it was just Pokemon Heart-Gold

That's surprising , Accumulating the GDPs is a great idea. I never use mine so its good for me, DM you the greatest.And for the 3DS ROMs, IT would be great if it had any.It is said to have awesome Antipiracy features which may well mean no 3DS ROMs.And An emulator for the PC is very unlikely so no 3DS games for me, Unless I decide to buy one, But that is less likely than an emulator existing :wtf:Thanks DM,

Hey, when you get a DP loan, will it stack for the first reset (and then stay at what you leave it at until the loan is over)? Like, you have 100 at reset, not get anything, and get a loan for X number of days. Will it be whatever the loan was for, or 100 + whatever the loan was for?Basically, based on my current warn level, I can borrow 11 DP a day. If I took a loan with 100 DP currently, would that be 111 DP next reset, or 36 DP from the 25 standard + 11?
