Xin Nian Kuai Le

On behalf of DGEmu, I would like to wish you all a happy Chinese new year!

And to celebrate this, I've given all members of the site a little 500GPs in your electronic "red envelopes". :) You may go ahead and convert them into DPs or purchase forums items.

I'll put it in the bank, right next to the other money.

Can someone explain to me about this? Where do I find my GPs and where do I need to go to convert them? Or am I not one of the ppl to have qualified to get the 500 gps? Is this something forum related?

well anyway, Happy Chinese new year to those in China, or whatever. I live in the US, so, I'm not really familiar with what's going on here.

I think everyone just got an additional 500GPs, you don't have to do anything you just already got it.

"red envelopes" is probably referring to Red envelope - Wikipedia, in which;
"In Chinese and other Asian societies, a red envelope or red packet is a monetary gift which is given during holidays or special occasions."

If you are not Asian or know some stuff about other cultures this "joke" probably went over your head ....

Channel28 (02/15/2013 11:16AM)

I only know that cause in a Online Game I play we often get "red packets" or "red envelopes" in game and the game originated in China lol

Yes, everyone got the GPs.

It was just a figure of speech related to Chinese New Year.

I always looked forward to that red envelope every year when I was small. Was so awesome to get like an extra $50 or $100 of extra pocket money back then.

Nowadays, it's me that has to hand them out. Boy has the time changed. XD
