Project64 UPDATED!

... note sure why someone hasn't posted this sooner as it has been 3 months already ....

Project64 is updating again .... what's this, I hear you say, you have to pay money for v1.7 and so on.

NOPE!

Project64 is back delivering public releases (freeware) versions again!

Project64 HomePage

Newest version is 2.1, though it seems I can't download it, some sort of "illegal attempt", if you get the same problem don't panic, alternative downloads here:

Project64 v2.1 @ EmuCrimson

As such the Guide for Project64:

--- Nintendo 64 Emulation Guide ---

Channel28 (07/17/2013 12:01PM)

I understand "What da hell channel" .... and the "and you call yourself" ....

Chiri Kitsu (07/17/2013 10:28PM)

The formatting... *shoots self*

ねこ。 (07/17/2013 10:45PM)

It's arbitrary. And the last part is Australian.

mr.chya (07/17/2013 11:43PM)

Hey channel if you're updating guides you might also want to update the pinned guide for PlayStation emulation as epsxe is up to version 1.8.0 and also released a version for android phones. I'd do it myself but I don't want to overstep; my bounds.... also because I'm lazy...

Chiri Kitsu (07/18/2013 12:32AM)

You can actually rewrite it and propose it to us in the staff forums, I'm sure Channel and the others would be more than glad to approve your work!

mr.chya (07/18/2013 01:40AM)

Huh, what but but I'm lazy... Uh fine but I'll probably only copy the original and just change the part about which version of epsxe to use as that's the only part that I know needs to be changed. What section of the staff forum should I post it in?

mr.chya (07/18/2013 02:13AM)

Sorry for the double post but this damn thing doesn't have an edit feature. Anyway upon further inspection of the guide it references problems with certain games and wile I've already tried a few of them with 1.8.0 without problems (IE FFIX and Xenogears) I will have to reacquire the others and test them which I probably won't get around to until this weekend. Afterword I will make the necessary changes to the guide then submit it... somewhere?... for approval.

Chiri Kitsu (07/18/2013 04:23AM)

I'm assuming you have access to the staff forums?

mr.chya (07/18/2013 04:38AM)

yes I also just recently gained access the screenshotter's teem of the vip forums though I assume that I probably shouldn't as I didn't have access to it before. And I should probably just PM this to you but I'm hoping will see the absurd number of post's here and wonder just what the hell happened while he was asleep (It's night time in Australia right?)

2.1 is a paid version, good job being a shameless pirate, channel. :gs:

Channel28 (07/18/2013 12:00PM)

EmuCrimson doesn't provide pirate copies though ....... blame them!

Channel28 (07/18/2013 12:04PM)

@Chya, lol just post it on Staff Forums or in the Draft Guide part and let Meru or I know and we will take care of it ... oh and all Recovery Staff have access to the Screenies forum, it was just in a different section before so you most likely didn't notice it .....

mr.chya (07/18/2013 05:20PM)

Ha ha yeah, I know absolutely nothing about the rest of the world... Anyway I PM'd Meru about it last night but by the time I hit send he was already gone. Draft guide? I can't seem to see that... but then I could just be completely spacing on it and just need to pay better attention. Well I'll worry about that after I've actually finished it.

Chiri Kitsu (07/18/2013 05:47PM)

I'm often on and off for my things. :)

Channel, you pirate! How could you. Now the Internet is sad.

DJ Night Force 9 (07/20/2013 01:32AM)

I knew about this the day it came out but I didn't think to post it here. It's nice to finally see the new version leave the long running pay-wall and get a public release. I guess the devs finally got around to finishing things up and also figured it wasn't making much money anyway.
