and we used to just watch German shows (namely Inspector Rex) because, i'unno, maybe our teacher was a lazy bum like that.

Have you ever heard a German say 'Lies'? Or, for that all intents and purposes, any word with that sound in it, such as 'Nice' or 'Pies'? It's hilarious :)
