Actually having little music theory knowledge is also very interesting to have a better understanding of what you are listening to. Otherwise, besides liking or not a composition (especially classical), we may just miss the main point...

Hmm...I've played piano since I was 5 and never delved into any kind of Music Theory course yet. I would if I wanted to compose but...nah.
There were some songs I played like Suggestion Diabolique [one my my faves =D] that have left-hand melodies...funz.

It depends on people... As you probably have noticed, I like all sort of theories... :p

You lie. Music theory is boring. All theory is boring. Unless it's interesting theory. Which, may I remind you, incase you forgot since you started reading this, piano theory isn't. =)
