I think Urahara must be pretty badass when he gets serious, and Kenpachi would be awesome if he achieved bankai :PIchigo is probably the most powerfull one right now, if he can maintain his hollow form...

this is not even a topic worth discussing if you followed either the anime or manga. the answer is simple: it's aizen. his SHIKAI ability is almost god-like (the ablity to put anyone under illusion as long as they look at his sword) and he beat two captains and ichigo in bankai form effortelessely. just imagine how strong his bankai is going to be

I dont know IŽd probably go for Ichigo and the old capitan, because Ichigo is the main character and the old capitan because he controls the other capitans

It's really just a fight between Ichigo and Aizen, although The First Captain seems to be very powerful as well. In my eyes Ichigo in vizard form is quite possibly the most powerful character and is really the strongest seen so far. Aizen really seems to have a large amount of power as well, but as of yet I don't know if Aizen would be able to defeat the Vizard Ichigo. As for The First Captain I am sure he is also quite powerful as two captains knew they wouldn't last more than a few minutes with him, although both were at the bottom of the barrel. My vote right now goes to Ichigo just because he is the strongest character actually seen.

Damn it this is pissing me off. I think the main misconception right now is the fact that Ichigo is a Vizard. People Ichigo is not the most powerful Shinigami. Hell he's not even the most powerful character in the show with miss Orihime's "I reject your existance" crap that she's pulling right now. Even in the Byakuya fight he technically didn't win. Byakuya kinda gave up because he confirmed what he needed to confirm. I mean it's not like Ichigo beat him to a bloody pulp; he was still moving around and using shupo, after all he still had enough strength to protect Rukia from Aizen and Gin.IMO Yamamoto Genryuusai Shizekuni, the first captain and the leader of the Gotei 13, is obviously the current most powerful shinigami, if not Aizen. Remember in the fight against Shunsui and Juushiro, he started to burn everything and he didn't even pull his sword out. If Ichigo were to have fought: Soifon, Genryuusai, Shunsui, Juushiro, or Tousen almost guarantee Ichigo would have loss.It's really just a fight between Ichigo and Aizen, although The First Captain seems to be very powerful as well. aizen is just wicked sick!!! (for now) but my fave is uyuu! LOL he's kinda weak.. (when will he get stronger? or will he?) anyways... he's the coolest aside from byakuya and ichigo!

That's a toughie... But the strongest Shinigami/Death God would be Captain Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai. He's the Captain of the first Division in Bleach and he has his Zanpakuto which is young Fire, forgot its Japanese name.Zaraki is pretty awesome too!

as of now, aizen is the strongest. but the one i think is the strongest is renji, simply because he works hard, and he trains a lot. he's gonna grow strong, probably even 2nd best of all bleach, 1st is of course is the main character. but that's in the far future. right now aizen is the strongest...

In terms of fighting strength, I'd probably agree that Zaraki is extremely strong, and that Ichigo will probably someday surpass him, and become strong enough to defeat Aizen. So, I say Zaraki and Yamamoto for Soul Society, Ichigo for mortal world, and Aizen for where ever he is.Now, as for strongest, not counting strength, I would say Hanatarou. Yes, I know, he's a weakling with no real redeeming quality outside of his cleric abilities, but there's his sword. It has been said to heal fully whoever it strikes! That makes for some pretty impressive uses outside of battle, and makes me like Hanatarou even more. Yeah, I know. He's still a wimp. Oh well! XP
