Tie between Aizen and Kenpachi because.....Aizen pwn'd so many shinigami in the arc and he controlls an army of arrancar whose power can rival a captain's.Kenpachi just is so hardcore with his nameless sword that is stronger than bankai.

nah, hitsugaya is probably one of the weaker captains having an incomplete bankai and allbesides aizen or ichigo, i would say hitsugaya.

I'd say Ichigo, he's the main character and has hollow powers unlike the other captains. Zaraki would be a rival if could learn to speak to his sword and come up with bankai.

I'd say Madarame Ikkaku. He defeated an Arrancar WITH having his limit on. All the others like Hitsugaya, Renji and Matsumoto couldn't even beat them without having their limit put off..

well, it most definately is Aizen. He is the only man to have maxed out all four shinigami arts.byakuya is strong, as is ichigo, but neither have anything on Aizen. And kenpachi doesnt even come close. He may have potential, but if he never reaches it, its as if he neevr had it.Besides, Aized maxed out all 4 arts.so if they were out of 200 each, he would have a 200. going above the hypothetical 200 is impossible. so even if zaraki got bankai and all, he would still only be the 200. meaning he would be equal to Aizen.

ichigo is half shinigami and half hollow....zaraki kenpachi have story: he have killed his master...byakuya is THE shinigami... his bankai is very strong....aizen is trying to reach the maximum power, as ichigo have at this time...this 4 characters have +/- the same power...but ichigo and aizen will fight with the same level at the end of the anime...:)cya

Quite easily illogical, because no idiot in the right mind would actually fight Aizen 1-1.So, if the best good guys worked together (Zaraki, Ichigo, Renji, Rukia, Hitsugaya, Kira and Byakuya), then Aizen would probably lose. But he could confuse them too, so I guess maybe if Tousen decided to defect, then he'd be kickass.

i know people have already said this but yeah, obviously ichigo will be strongest.. eventually.. for now though, i agree with the people who said aizen.. although i don't like to admit it.. i always cheer for the good guys lol.. i think byakuya would give him a run for his money though.. i hope they make an episode for that. that'd be uber cool!

It's got to be 10th division's captain Zaraki Kenpachi. His reatsu(energy level) is way above any other shinigami seen so far.
