i personaly enjoy the freedom that haveing ssavestates offers. i feel manual saveing is far too slow. also for games that never had inbuilt saved states they are a salvation

I try to use them as few times as posible, but when it comes time for a tough fight or when I pull off something I know is rare I sometimes use them, to avoid the chance of losing my progress

i think saving frequently is important because you never know what you're gonna be confronted with in a game.

I tend to use them alot, even if I try not to. It's like a second instinct when you're using the emulator. It feels like cheating but, oh well. :whistle2: They're really useful in tight situations.

I personally use the save state option whenever I encounter a boss or complete a particulary difficult section of a game, so I think the save state option is very usefull. In most games there are difficult parts and bosses so I use it a lot, but its kind of like cheating so I feel slightly guilty but it never stops me from doing it any way...

lol, be it cheating or not, in fire emblem i saved constantly while fighting :), once you're dead you're dead, and that's not fun.. thinking of what could have been if only you hadn't died once... (granted sometimes i moved on when people died, but i later regretted it.) After a while of playing fire emblem i began saving after every turn, or before even.. and keeping multiple saves in case i couldn't go back far enough to undo the damages. I'm a cheater lol..

I use save states constantly, its always easier that way, its always very helpful for the games the have save points that are to far apart....like Chrono Trigger for example.

I used save states a whole bunch in Riviera trying to skip those damn rocks. Otherwise I only use it if I've completed a hard part or if I'm at a boss.

I used to not use them (since I didn't know they existed). I've tried many times to not use them for different types of games, particularly RPGs (unless I'm in a place and I really have to leave to go somewhere else), but I end up using them in games in the Fire Emblem series and in Harvest Moon (to get different answers from people).

Personally yeah I use them, encountering hard bosses or a difficult area triggers the save :rofl2: However It could be called "Helpful" rather then cheating XDPersonally iam trying to cut back, but with the current Megaman Zero 4 on my hit list...
