I use it like every 3~5 mins or right before a boss or something inportant. If its in Fire Emblem I would say right before they level up so I get the most advantagous stat possible like +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 .

it use it in hard stages, when i save each time i pass an enemy or something like that

I'd be dead without it, in platformers. In RPGs and adventure games, I tend to use it mostly in really big dungeons, before boss battles and when I'm uncertain of the outcome in a multiple-choice situation.

yeah, on games that you take outrageous chances, like Fire Emblem arena abuse, it is insanely helpful, rather than restarting the chapter.

all the time much faster than letting the actual game save, i only do that for backups

I only use them on Advance Wars 2 (a.k.a my only game on there....) to save moar maps.

I tend to use them when testing a glith I heard about it, but besides that, I try to avoid them as much as possible because it seems to much like cheating.

Saves are like flour in bread. You can't do RPG's without them.

I only use them to save events. Like in MBN 6, I used Save State 10 to save the ending events.After those, I don't use 'em much, I believe it takes out the fun and challenge. (my opinion)Also, I can be pretty clumsy, when I use it, then I forget to delete the .sg files, then I press them after I've gotten so far, and go back to the previous area. I rarely ever use them. I use old-fashioned saving techinques. The only time I WOULD use them, is if I'm sending a unit in to attack something that SEEMS like it could kill the boss, but then dies...I would use it BEFORE I send them in. Other than that, no, I don't use them much.

I use them quite often, i'm playing Supre Mario Allstars with ZSnes, and saving states is really helpful

I only use savestates on the ROMs that cannot make a battery file. (Like PMD)
