i uses it allot, since i find it easyer to use savestate instead of the original save function, especialy when its a game which has a limited save funtion or places. And pretty much during most boss battle's in case i lose, so i dont have to go through all that trouble again during some games like megaman zero. and during some events which i like to watch it again once, so i dont have do replay the entire game till that moment

i used them a few times in Pokemon just to send saves to friends, and all the time in Zelda LttP, especially during boss battles. generally i use a state when i'm facing something exceptionally rare or difficult, such as a shiny pokemon or a difficult boss. saving right after hitting a boss makes it easy to continue after the hit and never lose health :)

I usually use a save state for tough part or when i decide to turn off the emulator for the night and sleep so i can be at 100% gaming power (otherwise Gaming Mode... NO GO!)

I find the save states to be quite useful in the same manner the DS will freeze a game when shut. I don't have to worry about having enough time to get to the next save point. I just save the state and walk away, knowing that I'll return to the game exactly where I left it.But if it's a game that allows you to save at any point, then I'll use the in-game save, even I start the game up again at some nearby point and not right where I saved. I want the convenience of saving whenever I may need to, but want to stick within the intention of the game as much as possible.

I have to confess to using them fairly often. Especially in Fire Emblem. The perma-death nature of the game makes me inclined to save rather than curse wildly.

I often save before making an important decision and if it turns out to be bad I load it haha. For example: before answering questings, versing a boss or going to an event and of course before I close the game.

I use save states alot for R type 3. Try the game out for 10 seconds and you'll see why. I personally try to avoid using them as much as possible, but some games are almost too hard to beat without them. Going back and using R type 3 as an example, I've been through segments of the game that took me over 20+ reloads of my saved position to finally pass.

Depends on what game lolSometimes i make lots of save file for each Boss Battle so i can replay against them.Sometimes I need to make save states at the beginning of each chapter of a gameSometimes I need to use them during gameplayI remember Kaizo Mario, First level, i used a save state like every 5 seconds because it was just constant deaths.

I hardly ever use in the in game saving. I find that they are too far from the part where I usually lose or make a choice between one path or the other. That is why I use them so that I don't have to waste my time doing things all over again.

I really only use save states when luck is involved, or on extremely cheap obstacles. Otherwise, I don't use them.

I usually use it..(especially in game with major freeze AP..) at least it is better than hacking... besides.. I sometimes am too lazy to redo lots of things when the save points are far and few between..

Only when it doesn't matter and doesn't alter the game, especially where you need to restart several times and that would just take a lot of time without save states.

Depends on the game really. If it's obnoxious in the sense that one little mistake could cost you an hour of playtime (like Fire Emblem), then I use them fairly frequently. If it's a game I've mastered in the past or don't find the challenge too frustrating, then hardly ever (the Mario/Mega Man games).

I usually use save states when I'm making an important decision in-game. Or when I'm not sure of an action I'm deciding to take.

I find save states kinda like cheating. If the game's mechanics don't allow you to save, you shouldn't be able to. The only reason I justify using a save state is if the save system is extremely broken.

I'm very much ashamed to say that I've become nearly addicted to using save states in nearly ever game i play on an emulator.Whats worse is that its not because I can't play without them, but that I've just gotten so used to doing it.
