I think cel-shading looks better on some games more than others, like Harvest Moon cel-shading and Wind Waker cel-shading (which imo, looked pretty good). It all depends on the taste of the person who plays the game, I guess.

cel shading definitely has its good points, but i don't want to see it in every game. i didn't really like the whole design of zelda: wind waker, it just didn't have the feel of a zelda game (and while the cel-shaded style had a lot to do with it, that wasn't all, i'd site the overall game). i believe beyond good & evil was cel-shaded, and i thought it worked well there. you just have to use it wisely lol.

I prefer cell over the realistic shading, a game should look like a game, not real life, if i wanted to see real life i'd go out side =P.

i agree. a games graphics sometimes gets improved to the point that the graphics look so real, you forget about the actual game, and can make you not want to play it anymore

Cel shading best represents games of comic decent like xmen and tmnt, it is what actually drove me to play xmen legends.
