No way. RPG's keep dragging you into the game, actions keep you entertained for a while, but the repetiveness of some games just make it boring

I think it depends.Games like Fallout II, Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy and Seiken Densetsu kept me playing for years and their replay value was excellent.Nowdays, the only fighting game that kept me playing near as long was Marvel VS Capcom II.

RPGs are definitely more addictive. Fighting games don't have much to offer other than button mashing. With an RPG, a player can really get into a game, and play it for a long time. Don't get me wrong... I do love to bust a few heads now and then, but usually it's just a filler between the really good stuff. ^_<

Well, honestly, I believe that it truly depends on who you are, what the game is, and How hard-core of a gamer you are.Honestly, I think that both can be highly addicting. However, Fighting games have their limits. You can only perform down-quartercircle-forward-punch (standard special move combo) so many times. And yet, there are so many times you can listen to the same RPG battle music. The question isn't how addicting they are, the question is how long before you get sick of them? But I'm still in a draw. I love them both. My favorite RPG is probably FF7. My favorite fighting game: SCII.My favorite of the hybrid? Devil May Cry III, Dante's Awakening. And just remember, no matter which one you play, don't forget to bring a towel. <_<

Depends, really. If you are fighting another player, you might get absorbed into the competition and cannot stop.

RPG are more addictive since it sticks to a sotry and you want to play to find out the ending, on the other hand fighting is just senless punching and kicking and chopping and other moves against other playeers, both good overall, but RPG got more of a theme to it, so you are more intriuged

Fighters are pretty dull unless you have someone else to play. RPG's are far more addictive, I could just sit and train for hours.Strange comparison to make, too.

Fighting games are very addictive even more if you have a group of friends who always want to challenge you.

The main thing about fighting games, like said above, is how much competition you get.

I'd say fighting games are more addictive. I mean, I'm a big fan of both, in fact I actually prefer RPGs, but fighting games just have so many different kinds of matches you can have depending on the opponent you face, the characters you each pick, and how well each of you know the game. RPGs on the other well no matter how many times you play it, the characters are the same ones. Plus once I finish an RPG I'm done unless theres a New Game+ options, whereas fighting games you can always look for new opponents.
