I also think they are both addictive, Fighting games with friends, RPGs alone. Not all Fighting games are about button mashing.

No, rpgs are always more addicting. Even more so for MMORPGs, fighting games are just a few rounds or maybe until you beat the last boss then thats it till next time you play. RPGs don't let you sleep and you can get addicted easily.

I more addictive to PRG's than fighting games, but I will get more interested in a fighting game. I think fighting games are ment to get the blood pumpin', and RPG games are ment to use your head.

IMO RPGs are somewhat a representation of a story. It can really take you in and make you a part of the story, if the game is masterfully developed.I take Final Fantasy 7 as an example, IMO the best RPG game for me. Aries' death scene made me feel like smacking down sephiroth to eternity! and the romantic scene with aries kinda came to life! :PFighting games, well you need skills, you dont need to know storyline. The only thing you want to achieve with figthing games is that you want to prove that you're better than the other guy. Typical genre with sport.

I think RPG is more addictive...for fighting..u consecutively win or loss doesn't let u to addict to the game...for RPG...the story and training process can make you addict to the game easily
