You know, Kirby doesn't have to be in the air to dominate. If you're good enough, then you can totally begin your attack on the ground, trash them there, and send them flying for them to fully absorb the extent of which they were owned. When I play against my friend, I usually choose Mario or some other character that's most oftenly considered better than Kirby, but when I choose Kirby, I can whup him by grabbing him, knocking him around, then smashing him off. To be good with Kirby, you have to forget about most of his b-button attacks like swallowing (b button), hammer (-> B), and stone (down B) and use Kirby's speed against them (he's actually quite fast for a little pink puffball).Kirby is bottom-tier. Statistically, he's not a very good character. Still, he does have some strong moves. I think his best attack would be his B-air (backwards aerial attack). It's deceptively strong, and has some good combo potential at lower percentages. In order to use aerial attacks effectively in ground combat, you need to learn to SHFFL. SHFFL stands for "short hop, fast fall, L-cancel". Short hopping is done by pressing the jump button as fast as possible. How hard you press it doesn't matter, it's how fast you get on and off the button. You might not notice it much by playing as Kirby, so practice on someone with normal jumps. Fox is the hardest to short hop with, by the way, since his jump starts up really quickly. If you have trouble short hopping, you can try doing the "flick" method which is what I do. Use the tip of your thumb(nail) and flick the edge of the jump button. It's easier, but it might give you problems later on. Now, fast falling is simply done by pressing down on the control stick as you begin descending from a jump. L-cancelling is when you press the L, R, or even the Z button right before you land after doing an aerial attack. What that does is halve the delay that you would have from landing after using that attack. Now, the whole point of the SHFFL, as you may have deduced, is to provide a way of using aerial attacks in ground combat.
I think that we all already know that you can't unlock Sonic and Tails for SSBM, but how do you get 20 kills in cruel melee? Just about everyone dies in less than ten seconds, so you have to use really strong attacks since you're battling something like 6 insanely strong wireframes. I use Pikachu's thunder (down B), but I only get 5 or 6 kills. Who should I use to get more kills; I want that trophy that you get in cruel melee because I need about 10 more to finish up.guys wanna know about how to get sonic and tails? its a secret but i will spit it out! beat 20 guys in CRUEL MELEE you will be sick to deal to this guys! ok thats all

When you short hop, you don't go very far in the air. I would go as far as to still call it ground combat. It's just enough distance to launch an aerial attack for a second or two. But I forgot to mention a few of Kirby's other good moves. U-air (upward aerial attack) is also really strong. The problem is, however, getting the attack to connect. It's got a weird hitbox, so you have to be pretty much right below your enemy for it to hit. That means you'll want to avoid using it too much, as you might get punished for trying to chase with a U-air. Kirby's F-air is good for straight comboing. Unless your fingers are fairly fast, only the first two attacks will connect. It doesn't knock them too far away so make sure you follow-up consistently. Good thing is, you can recover quickly after using the F-air with an L-cancel. As for actual ground moves, his two best are probably the F-tilt (avoid using the dash attack at all costs) and D-tilt (tilts are when you push the stick just a little bit instead of all the way, aside from the D-tilt which is done from a crouch). Both are used for the same purpose, with the F-tilt stronger but the D-tilt more range. Use these to knock your opponent off the ledge at which point you can edge guard with B-airs, since Kirby has the ability to do multiple jumps. As for his B-button moves, there's only two of any real use. The first is the hammer. It's not that great on the ground, since it's so slow, but it's great in the air because it can stun your opponent for a little while. The other is the cutter. If you've been knocked off the stage, fly just under the ledge and use the cutter. By doing that, you should bring your cutter down on the edge of the stage, hitting anyone that's too close to the edge, then cancel the attack by hanging onto the ledge. You can also get some kamikaze kills with Kirby's B attack, F-throw, B-throw, and occasionally U-throw. Beware, however, your opponent can easily escape from all these aside from the U-throw at low percentages. So, make a kamikaze kill only when you feel it'd benefit you instead of the opposite. You know, Kirby doesn't have to be in the air to dominate. If you're good enough, then you can totally begin your attack on the ground, trash them there, and send them flying for them to fully absorb the extent of which they were owned. ok luigi is kinda tricky to get. first of all play with mario in adventure mode and get to the end of the level, but don't finish. look at the time counter thing at the top of the screen. pretty much it measures the time it takes for you to finish a level in hours, minutes, and seconds. wait until the second counter is between 1 and 2 and then cross the finish line. if the counter is on 2, you will see a cutscene where luigi knocks mario out of the way. you'll end up fighting luigi and peach instead of mario and peach. beat them and finish the rest of adventure mode. i'm not sure if you can afford to continue or not, but try not to. after finishing adventure mode, you'll fight luigi. if you beat him you unlock him. if you don't, just play a vs. melee and you'll automatically fight him until you win and unlock him.to beat giga bowser, you can use many characters. the best to use is jigglypuff though. if you can get the timing right, jigglypuff's b down attack does 40 damage and you'll fall asleep. do this several times to beat giga bowser. basically jump right into giga bowser's face (i'm serious) and then press b down. if done correctly, giga bowser will be burnt and hopefully sent flying if weak enough. if you miss, don't worry, he'll hit you and you'll wake up. then just try to use b down again. repeat all of these steps and eventually you'll win!i need help unlocking luigi i just bought the game but im stuck!!!oh, and also, how do u fight giga bowser??? i just dont understand this game too much...

Tell you what. Go to any arcade, pick a fighting game, and wait for someone good to challenge you. Now, you're not allowed to think. Spam buttons as fast as you can and see if you win. If you win, the person you're playing obviously sucks, so you have to wait longer. When you lose, you'll have your answer.is there really any stratagy to this game. its a fighting game after all.

well, i'm not too sure about that way. i had to try quite a few times for this actually. i used yoshi. grab the bat, jump up once and press down-a. keep doing that til you have like 2-1 second left. smash a the sack and you'll get pretty far. also, if you can press a button realy quick, use fox and use his b attack. keep pressing til about the same time and smash the sack. that's probably about 100m if you did it well enoughCan anybody help me with the homerun contest. People can manage to get thousands of feet by throwingthe bat down and catching it but how do they do it can anyone help me.
