How exactly do you explain the storyline being childish? Just sort of curious since I've never heard that before from anyone. Maybe case solving wasn't interesting for you because it actually required you to use your brain. I guess disproving testimonies doesn't give you the same rush it does for us. And saying you're too smart for the game isn't an excuse either.Overated game IMO. Storyline was very childish and the case solving werent too interesting. I only enjoyed the last case.

I think the psychic sidekick(try saying that out loud, three times fast) was fitting, simply because it's anime, and it's not meant to be realistic anyway. The whole game is just a loose, Japanese interpretation of the American court system. And since when is speaking with the dead not a reasonable way to solve a crime?the game was original, i give them that, but if you ever played any japanese gamesbefore, there were very much similar, to the simulators, only now is it getting popular in NA and europethe storyline and all tat jazz has been done and rehashed especially with the whole pshyce girl, i thought the fact that she could do that was gay, i just wanted to solve crimes, not speak to some one that was dead.....dumb idea in my case, thats why it wasnt freaking awsome for me.
Since they're both Capcom games, it seems fitting.

Ya actually I got that feeling quite often in the game.. where you cannot run through a shortcut in the clues. We're all forced to follow the scripted logic pattern of the game despite us a few steps ahead of the developers :)But okay, I wish the next game be more open-ended.. perhaps in the line of the old-skool point & click adventure genres? We'd have the freedom to crack the clues in our own pattern.. here's to wishing.Only thing about the game that got me angry was that you think faster than the game wants you to. you've got a piece of evdience that very, very clearly supports a motive/falsehood and they game doesn't accept free thought :[

See what us faithful importer get for not being patient? Oh well an extra case doesn't really bug me as long as I can still scream Igiari into my DS. I'm still curious on how they're going to translate all of Tommy's jokes in the circus chapter. He's still by far the WORST WITNESS EVER. Upon replaying the old GBA ones I was suprised to see the difficulty spike in each game though. The second definetly jumps up from the first and the third is a huge step forward (the first case in it took me nearly an hour and a half to complete). I wonder if that means the fourth will be even harder, I really hope so. The last case of 3 had me on the edge of my seat.http://gamesarefun.c...php?newsid=6899Wo0t. Rise from the Ashes was lame when you compare it to stuff like Farewell, Turnabout. That was an awesome case and anything in Gyakuten Saiban 3 tops it as well. I think the only redeeming thing from Rise from the Ashes was the whole identifying evidence thing. Aside from that, it didn't lack the drama or the power of the later cases. That's why I'm hoping in the Gyakuten Saiban 4 that they don't make it TOO DS oriented. I'd prefer them to go to bump up the difficulty again and keep the quality of cases that they had in 3. The whole identifying evidence thing will only stay interesting once you have to do it in every case.Hey! "Rise from the ashes"'s the best case EVER. I loved every moment played w/ it...despite I hated "Turnabout Sisters"...that one was pretty booooooring
