Uh, I guess if we're being technical, it was probably the Miyazaki short about an angel.. I forgot the name. Was like 15 minutes or less

There was this anime from the same maker of excel saga called puni pumi i think and it was all of 2 eps. My bud made me sit down and watch it. So i would suggest if u ever have 40 mins to blow go watch this whole anime series

Alright, I think the shortest anime I've seen is Dragon-Half. It is only 2 ep. long because it was dropped after the second but it is so funny.

Do OVAs count? if so, then it would be Read or Die which is three episodes, followed up by Tales of Phantasia the animation which will be four, only three are out so far.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-Chan.Thats 4 epis (2-in-1, so that'd really be 8), around 25 mins each.

Can't think of the shortest anime series, but the shortest anime movie i've watched is blood: the last vampire, which only went for about 45 minutes. But it was a good movie though

The series "Advantures of mini-goddess" each episode its 7 minuts ... in totaly of 47 episodes .... i think so ...

I agree with Blood: The last vampireI was really annoyed with how short it was, and the fact that it seemed like it would continue as a series, and then didn't.
