It's gonna be awesome - I just have to justify buying one even though I've got an NDS.

but pps, i read tht the ds pic is just a mock of how the new ds is going to lookand nintendo only said it was going to be 1/3 in size, 20 pecent lighter, and still retain all the features of the original ds, so who knows, mybe the design will be rly catchy nd worth the money

I really like the new one, but I ask our Nintendo rep about it and she said they weren't sure if it would be a US release... sad.

I recently got an Enamel Navy DS Lite on ebay for $201.50 bucks from jpitem. I love it. It goes above and beyond my expectations. It is lighter, it is smaller, it is more comfortable, and it just looks sweet!Oh, by the way, the DS Lite CAN PLAY DS ROMS! I would appreciate it if you guys would let others know. You need a PassMe2 and you must use a different setup than the original PassMe.If you have any question at all, I'll answer them to the best of my ability.Popular Question #1: How big is it?It's smaller and lighter than the DS by a wide margin. It's a nice small rectangular shape.Popular Question #2: Does the smaller size make you feel uncomfortable? The DS Lite puts less fatigue on your hand and offers a much better balance.Popular Question #3: What is the battery life of the DS Lite? The DS Lite has 16-20 hours of battery life which is more than double the original battery power.Popular Question #4: Are the screen sizes different between the original DS and the DS Lite? No, the DS Lite has the same size as the original DS. The only difference I can tell is that the DS Lite screens are designed for brighter views.Popular Question #5: What passme/superpass/etc. do you need for the DS Lite? You need the PassMe2 or any other variation along those lines. The DS Lite firmware is the latest one for the original DSes.

Have you heard anything about flashing a regular NDS with the DS Lite firmware? There are rumors it can be done and it will give the regular NDS the different brightness levels that the DS Lite has!!!

have you looked into flashing your ds lite just wondering how much harder it is :D?and how much thinner is it?, what I mean is does it fit in your pocket without sticking half out or looking like your happy to see someone all the time hehe?also does the smaller size make it harder to hold when using stylus (the size of original ds was easy to hold when holding stylus I thought)In your opinion is it worth it if you have an original ds that has been flashed and is in decent condition?thanks for the feedback

have you looked into flashing your ds lite just wondering how much harder it is?~It was very hard because now my goddamn DS Lite is bricked! I'm hoping to get an exchange on ebay. If that falls through, I'm out of luck since I don't know how to solder.and how much thinner is it?, what I mean is does it fit in your pocket without sticking half out or looking like your happy to see someone all the time hehe?~It's smaller and lighter than the DS by a wide margin. Yes, it fits into your pocket depending on what kind of clothes that you wear. It's a nice small rectangular shape, so I doubt people would think you have a hard-on!also does the smaller size make it harder to hold when using stylus (the size of original ds was easy to hold when holding stylus I thought)~I have large hands and I thought the DS was difficult to balance with the hand and stylus method. The DS Lite puts less fatigue on your hand and offers a much better balance. In your opinion is it worth it if you have an original ds that has been flashed and is in decent condition?~I say it would be worth it, if you don't screw up the flashing process yourself! ARGH! I'm so pissed off at myself. I'm out 200 bucks if the seller doesn't exchange it.Does it eat up your battery less fast than the original DS ?~The DS Lite has 16-20 hours of battery life which is more than double the original battery power.

Is holding the DS lite comfortable? Does your hand cramp up after playing? Because when i play band bros on my DS my hand starts to cramp up after a while.

I imported my DS Lite before the announcement of the US release date.My hands have not cramped up when playing. As I've said before, I think the balance is perfect and there is almost zero strain. I did not get a chance to play online, but I don't see why there would be any problems.

When i bought my M3 perfect SD i was hecka happy but they released M3 Slim not to long after i bought it. M3 slim doesnt stick out of the DS at all. I felt ripped off. Which brings me to my question. Do you think that theyll make a flash card small enough so that it doesnt stick out of the lite?

Demand vs Suply? You might've heard about that...Also, the first batch of DS Lite even sold out in Japan, so go figure.
