I believe that the cover of a game should be appealing to the eye and capture what the game is about because a good game usually looks good from the outside, it's exspensive when first released, and it's from a well known developer or publisher. Example is Metroid Prime Corruption, sick cover and good game.

Personally, I look for replayability. If I'm just gonna beat a game, then forget about it, why buy it? But story is good too, and features. But what all do you people like?

believe a game needs a good story (as well as well-made characters) in order to stick me to the couch playing it and feel like i'm really in the game.

I like to look at alot of diffrent aspecs of games I need a good storyline but if i dont find one I move on to genre I like rpg's, i like other genres to then again i have to put th other games through a tougher inspection. then i look at Difficulty and graphics if its to easy there isnt much replayability. and if the graphics are to dull then why play it. (unless your playing retro or handheld systems)

The game would suck if it wasn't a genre I liked.

There are several things I look for.Difficulty: Should be chalanging, but not too chalanging.Characters: I usually won't buy a game if the characters don't meet my one requirement. Though there are plenty of exceptions.Good Reviews: I don't buy games unless I am sure they are good. (Or my mom buys them for me.)Features: A build your own <insert video game necesity here> always turns me on to a game.Genre: I don't play shooters, I don't play many sports games, everything else is fair game. That's about it, but I am sure there are more reasons.

I look for a quality game...and occasionally, there's one with great graphics, replay value, sound, story, and everything that makes it one of my must buys.

first a game must have a good plot, then the character design comes in, finally what could make a game a master piece is a good combination of the music and the graphics.hehehe, most ff games show that.

First of all, I look at the cover. Unfortunatly the ones that catches my attention aint always what I want to play. If I know that there's a game I like and I see the same title, I assume it's a good game as well. I think stuff like graphics and characters are something you find out my looking at trailers or reading reviews.

The game has to have a multiplayer or it's not even worth considering. And I'm not talking about the pathetic online multiplayer. Other people might like that, but to me that's just like playing against the computer. Why are so many titles single player or if they are multiplayer it's online only? Does the video game industry expect that if you play video games you don't have any friends? Games are fun when they are competitive, not necessarily violent, and when you can't interact with the other person, is it any fun? Okay so there is online speak and what not, but it really isn't the same. Am I right?
