Actually it's not a new addition to this francise, as everyone knows, this is the VERY first Megaman X from SNES, and well the GFX are better than X8'sBut I don't know... the english voices make the game suck, I prefer MOST the japanese version.Great game if someone either played or not the SNES version.Props...newer, better graphicallly, i wonder, DUH

MHX was fun, but Vile Mode is a pain unless you have the Frost Armor thingy you get after beating Chill Penguin. After that, it gets really easy since you have half damage and the Distance Needler (Which I used for the entire game afterwards, except Boomerang Kuwanger's level, where I took a missile). X mode was just plain easy. I like the Hadouken Upgrade, but I never use it. 
But... I haven't tried X8 yet. So... I can't give much of an opinion.

Yeah, me too.its a fun game if you liked the original, it slows down at some points though other than that its cool.

Well, I'm going to have to get MHX then because I love the SNES part of the X series. I'm hopping the MHX2 project pulls though. I'm most familiar with that one.

those games are very fun and somewhat hard. you get addicted to them once you pick them up and dont wanna stop until you beat the game. then you wanna replay the game lol

well...i like the anime~ness for the maverick hunter one but MGMX8 was better since u can use Zero and Axel , + X's Ultimate armour is available in X8

X8 can get so frustrating if you don't know how to do the "trick" to finish some stages , thats why I like it

I wouldn't know if Maverick Hunter X is better than Mega Man X8. But what I do know that the first Mega Man X (Maverick Hunter X) is one of the best Mega Man games ever made. Well, at least it is my opinion about the game.

I would vote for Maverick Hunter X over X8 any day - Anything X game after 2 is pretty much worthless. (As much as I want to support X3, the last boss was just too hard! Dang you, Capcom!) :-(

This Megaman game is pretty much a remake from Mega Man X for the SNES. There's extra's added into this version and graphics wise but nothing more. Its a good game but I think its better than MMX8 since Capcom's been struggling with their latest MMX titles. They got horrible ratings since MMX7.
