I liked paper mario

but my favorite of all time on the 64 was Quest 64

Wow...what a slection (sarcasm). Well I would have to say that since you ruled out pretty much that action/adventure RPG's (like the greatest game ever and Quest 64) don't count, then I would have to say Ogre Battle 64. But Zelda is still better:)

that�s not the reason. In a tipical RPG the turns for the attack was changing. But in Zelda you have a sword and attack the enemy until it dies or something other happens.Now I hope, there was no one who says, Zelda was an RPG, but when somebody thing so, then let him think.

Your right, Zelda is not a traditional turn based RPG, but it is a breed of RPG...action/adventure. You may not have to crunch numbers and decide on whether your gonna save yourself or your teamate, but it is still a kind of RPG.

Ogre Battle is simply the best game ever made, in my opinion, yes, even better than Zelda games

The only one i ever played was Quest 64. I didnt think it was very good though. I will have to try Paper Mario and Ogre Battle.

I agree with you. I still think Nintendo should have brought out more RPG's for 64 though, but Quest 64 was a good one.

Not exactly off topic, but My favorite RPG is EarthBound for the Snes. The Music and the Plotline was AWESOME. when I say plotline, I mean the way stuff progressed. I love Moonside! !edisnooM evol I :shifty:

The battle and PSI graphics were awesome too. I personally liked PSI Rockin Gamma and Omega, and PSI StarStorm Alpha.My favorite songs are "Snowman", "Fourside", "Saturn Valley", "Summers", and the classic "Hippie Fight" :wtf:

Paper Mario 64 without a doubt. I do not know how many times I have posted this comment but geez, RPG makers (including FFs) should use more active command and trigger systems in their RPGs. Just think how popular LoD became only because of their addition system. This game was also good because it did not make you think too much, just choose your favorite party member and use Mario. Although customization is important, most of the time the decisions become obvious and pretty much ALL badges are useful when you combine them the right way.The story, graphics and characters are well made but they work only as a kicker when we talk about the gameplay of this game.

Well, i think most people are settling on LoZ or Paper Mario... and I agree. Paper Mario was an awesome game... totally wipes the floor with both of its successors tenfold.
