I no longer have a physical console, but I do have an emulator. It's one of my favorite systems.

I wish!! Aside from the Wii (which I still want), the SNES is the only NES system I've both never owned and never ever played. It makes me so sad!

Yep, I have an SNES. I've had it for a good 16 years now. Interestingly, I have 16 games for it as well.

Still have mine, and it dates to 1991, but it's in my closet, since it barely functions right; I need to clean the thing out, since there's lines all over the screen ingame, and since practically every game of mine has a dead save battery, I just emulate now. It's slightly faded to yellow too :gs:EDIT: Ah crap, should've looked. Nevermind, my date knowledge is going crazy

Mine is actually still around and kicking, although I keep expecting it to die out on me. Lately my brother and I have been splitting our time between Super Mario Brothers and Mario Paint. I'm equally surprized that the Mario Paint mouse keeps working.

I still have an SNES, but all of the controllers are missing various pieces (they look pretty sad) and the power cord has mysteriously disappeared. But it's still around and I still feel a great deal of affection for it. I mostly use the emulator these days.

Well mine is not an SNES per se, but it's a three in one system. NES, Genesis and SNES all in one. If I could remember where you can get those, I'd tell you.

I've played a ton of SNES RPGs but I've never seen the actual console with my eyes... That's kind of sad in fact.

Yes I do! I decided I wanted another SNES so I went by the pawn shop and picked one up for 2$ with two controllers and a bundle of games including StarFox, Mario All stars, Super Mario world, DonkeyKong Country and Megaman x!

Well not anymore...It broke a few years back due to packing issues during a family move, but I still relive old memories via emulators. The SNES was without a doubt one of the best console systems ever released in my humble opinion.

I own both the official original and the mini as well as the Yobo FC Twin clone. I also bought a USB converter so I can use an SNES controller on the computer when playing roms. (Imagine the blasphemy of playing Sega games with this controller. Try it, it feels good!) I don't really like using emulators anymore though because of the graphical errors like those clear lines you get when playing games that have scrolling i.e. Super Mario World or any other platformer. Because of this I opted to order the SNES Powerpak along with the NES Powerpak. It seems like as collectible retro games go, the SNES is one of the most popular systems right now and complete games are going for more money on it than any other system besides Neo Geo AES which never goes down in price due to always being a niche item. Every system has its time but right now it is cheaper to get a flash cart than to collect so many cartridges. Either Powerpak or Everdrive brands. Especially skip out on Earthbound because its top fans are just nuts. Trying to sell just the box for $200 or sell a complete copy of the game for $500? The game isn't even that uncommon to warrant such nonsense. If I have to play a rom in order to play Mother 1 & 3, then forget it, I'll play the whole series via roms.
