This doesn't come close to being a contest for me. SSBM is possibly the best game ever created, with the most play value ever built into the game. We'll see what happens when the Wii version comes!

Smash Bros. At least it's sequels offer us more excitement.Mario Party just hands us the same old crap and crappy new featureswith a different name every sequel ever since Mario Party 4.

There is already a marioparty on the GBA. And I don't think that a DS version will be different. So Smashbros it is.

Although I'd like to see smash bros. I'd think the quality would be that of the first N64 smash bros. and it's still fun but doesn't look that cool anymore.

Smash Bros. would be the best choice. You wouldn't be able to use weapons on Wi-Fi battles, maybe on Wireless play. Still the best choice though

Smash bros. It's definately better suited for the handheld in terms of short play sessions. We need a wi-fi fighting game anyway...

I think Mario Party (with the addition of Wi-Fi and some quickened gameplay) would work pretty well. Though Super Smash Bros. would be awesome as well, but it may be tough to get SSB running on Wi-Fi.

Smash Brothers can keep a larger crowd of people entertained for longer lengths of time because battles are short, action packed, and it's not like a board game on the game system, with cool little mini-games. In other words; SSB because there's more action, faster gameplay, and can be played with more than 4 people switching out controllers, because watching a few games of SSB won't be boring.

I'll put my two cents in with this alone. At last years Otakon in Baltimore Maryland there were two ssbm tournaments and no signs of Mario Party. If that isn't a clear enough sign of which is the dominant force nothing is. Then again i know the guy who won one of those tournaments.
