Both would be good on the DS, but having a portable Smash Bros pretty much beats anything else I can think of.

Both would be fun. SSBM would be cool with a touch-screen gimmick (Like Jump Superstars). That would be cool.

Smash bro's rulez because you get 2 bash people up but with mario party all you do is just play mini - games, bit boring if u ask me... almost a repeat of those lame mini - gamesin the pokemon game on n64.

Mario party has been cool..buts its been done to much...what there up to like 8 ? ..or something .. For me super smash bros all the way....what other game throws together a bunch of chars and makes them fight =P

Clearly the less popular of the two Mario Party. A game I can play with friends and family, my gf's dad is getting a cube for his christmas and I am deffo going to take this game to his house to play with my gf, him and my 4yo son. A game for all IMO.

i say Smash Bros, 1. its an action fighting game that brings the pressure of who will win, or something like that

Super Smash Bros., hands down. Even Mario Party at its peak couldn't touch SSB, much less now.

Although Mario Party would probably involve more use of the stylus, Smash Brothers would definetely win the majority over in sales. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to use advance techniques without a joystick, but nontheless a handheld SSB would be quite the revolution.

Smash Bros is quite possibly the most fun I've ever gotten out of any multiplayer video game.Everyone talks about the gamecube version like it's old... maybe they should go play the original like I do.GAME!

smash bros rocks and mario party just gets more boring as they release a new 1, tho i'll be interested to see what the wii version of mario party when it comes out (in prob like a year lol) will be like

well, mario party is obviously boring, compared to the action packed smash so smash bros. gets my vote for now.

I am a fan of SSB but Mario Party is more fit for the DS.SSB should always be at the hardcore consoles like GC and Wii.
