i've never played mario party. but smash bros is THE best game. i love it. its' so fun and to play with a bunch of friends makes it even funner.

Both would be great, but my vote goes to Smash Bros. The mini games in Mario Party tend to get boring after awhile, but Smash Bros never seems to get old to me.

uhm.... DUH! smash bros of course!!! cant wait for brawl dammit.... anyone knows who the third non nintendo party member is gonna be?BUT... for parties with those who dont play smash bros... then party is just as good.

I think IF they made a DS version of Smash brothers, It'd be a remake of the N64 game with extra characters and maps, so basically a toned-down GC SSBM.

SUPER SMASH! That game is just so wonderful I still play it today on my friend's gamecube. SSB SSBM are both so great and your just can't get tired of it. I've never played Mario Party but I'm really sure it couldn't be as good right? After all, SSB IS A LEGEND! I'm sure everyone would go crazy if it came out for DS... at least I would...

DS is good for Smash Brothers, the two screens lets it emulate the feel of the standard games. One screen for close up fights and the other a map of the level showing were everyone is.I like Mario Party, but there already is one for the GBA. I think portable Smash would a great deal more fun.
