I took Half and Half, but mostly it depends on what games it is.

It all depends in the first game or movie of the sequel, if it was really great, you have expectations which can lead to serious disapointment... ( Summon night2 ??? jeje )Just my humble opinion...

i'd say that its half and half. sometimes the sequels are as good as the first one or that they add a very good perspective to the original and sometimes they have a very bad sequel where as the storyline just wasn't as interesting/original as the first one

I think that it is half and half. There are some really good sequels out there that I love, but there are also some out there that are terrible and I don't like at all.

it just all depends on the type of game, and what game the sequel is from, like golden sun and golden sun 2, those were good games. those that failed would be something like the nickelodeon games or along those line.

About 75% of the time a sequel is as good or better than its predecessor, just depends on the approach they take

I am in the not really category, what are your opinions?

you are right sequels are known for not being nerly as good as the first version of a game or movy of course there are always games for wich this doesn't count but in most of the cases sequels are just ripofs

I think that sequels are only, at maximum, as half good as the previous. If the first game/movie was excellent, the sequel might be worth my time. If the first one wasn't good at all, or if the critics were saying it was all just hipe, then no.

It depends on whether or not publishers introduce anything new into their game. Some publishers might think that the first game is so successful that they shouldn't add anything new in fear of loss of sales. They just mostly add new missions and weapons, so that it feels more like an expansion.

some sequels can be better but its even most of the time, they can be better or they cant be better so its 50 50 for my experiences.

Most of the time they are good, but for things like pokemon they suck.

Some sequels are, some aren't Take golden sun 2 and Super smash bro's meelee. Neither of them really introduced anything new,(except for a few easter eggs and different characters), but it was still just as good, or in some views better. However, in things like Pokemon.. (actually pokemon is the only thing I can think of) ...It's the exact same thing... and repetitive, no new storyline nothing. And there are those in the middle, Summon Knight swordcraft story2, Breath of fire 3, Monster Rancher 2, Improved from the old design, but still, something was missing to give it that "wow" factor.
