Yeah pokemon's getting old now(so is this topic, how old is it?...) but somehow it's still so popular, for the past few yrs i have been silently predicting to myself...pokemon will fall soon, pokemon will fall soon...and it's still so popular. Ah, somethings r a little more resilent than usual...

The first Mario game got released in 1980, Final Fantasy in 1987, Sonic in 1990, and they are all still as popular. The first Pokemon game was out in 1995, and you're calling it old? I must be missing something.

it is funny how most of them cant find a reason y except the one reason that its old and its childishIt's funny how you all say it sucks but none of you manages to explain why.

there is nothing wrong with pokemon, a few years ago pokemon was the best of the best.

If you all dislike pokemon so much then y are you all talking about it...., im not a huge fan of it either but running around saying how much you hate something isnt gonna stop it from growing or dying any sooner

i am not an avid pokehater but there are a few things going wrong with it theses days. back in the late 90's when i got pokemon red, i thought it was the coolest thing on the planet, collecting pokemon, awsome. training them awsome. becoming pokemaster, awsome. the next games were still fun with the addition of hold items and breeding and, of course more pokemon. then on the 3rd ones.... things fell flat, the contests were kind of lame, stupid new pokemon (plusle, the minus one) and still THE SAME PLOT!! oh, and while i enjoyed the remakes of red and blue, they still were more of the same. all of this makes them repetitive and boring for veteran pokemon players. the games still hold up for newcomers to the series, but for me, blah been there, done that. that is unless they find a new better story-line (being a rocket, anyone?) and maybe redo the old boring battle system. these are just my thoughts on how pokemon has gone downhill, and why this might make people hate it

even though i all for pokemon hatred, a discussion forum isnt the place to post it... create a web-site (as if there wasnt enough pokemon hate sites) or YOUR own private chat room. unless you become a dgemu pokemon-hating-power-hungry supervisor (or dragon thingy...whatever its called), you cant just tell me what not to tell

Well, you are free to state how you feel, and other ppl got the right to state how they feel. Fair? They could start and reply on the topics they like, even though it is repeated like 100 times and more. This is always true for a forum. Get over it, if you dont like it, dont view it.

Did it ever occur there might be a reason why people post so many pokemon topics?It's because it's one of the most common games and it is also one of the broadest meaning it has a lot of things u can talk about.

I agree with a lot of what people are saying here. First off, people can post threads about whatever they want, it's a free country and all that. If the pokemon threads bother you so much, do what I do and just skip past and don't read them. I'm only a semi-player of the series, not a big fan, and I do think there might be a few too many threads about it, but that's no reason to be a jerk to the people you're suppsed to be part of a community with. Secondly, I'd advise against being so harsh. Or you're going to find yourself one lonely boy in a few weeks. Lastly, why do I find it hilarious that you're coming on here, screaming about "too much pokemon and yu gi oh" when your name's from Dragon Ball Z, another series of games that get hashed and rehashed on message boards all over the web. That's a little bit of a double standard, isn't it?
