Save states and ingame save for me (not a option I know so I chose save states) it's not cheating, what about the games that don't have save features? Use save states on them so you don't have to put in a pesky password. <3

I tend to use both, since either of them has their glitches.Whenever I get the chance, I do both, but I use save states when I'm halfway through something and suddenly have to go. If playing the game on a system I would just leave it on until I can get back, but its not so easy top carry the computer with me just because I want to finish that one last thing and not have to do it all over again.In-game saves are a great way to save your game if you want the actual Games experience, with all the extra hassles and problems. the only difference is, your on the computer, not the game system, so some things that may be possible on GBA (carrying it with you until your done) are not as easy here.I say Save States all the way, but in-Game saves when you get the chance.

Both. For backup.Save states is great because it saves you exactly where you are, so no redoing dungeons and etc.

I prefer in-game saving for reasons of it being true to the game itself, and provides a more legitimate feel. I do however sometimes use save states for reasons of not wanting to restart all the way from my last save.

I say both. Save states if I am about to face a boss or something that will give me a gameover in like a limted time or one mistake. In game saves for normal game play when I am not about to do any of the said stuff for save states. Plus I like to just try and play normal once in a while.

I have a tendancy to use both. In game saving so I can load after finishing the game like in various games, and save states because they are a life saver. Except when I forget to save often.

Save states make certain positions in certain RPGs easier, like if you make one tiny error in a battle that cost it to you, you can go back and BAM, fix it.

I prefer save states since I have more control over how they are kept. I have lost data on in-game saves so that's why I like them more.

Usually, I just used in game saving. But I do, use Save States when emergency like to far from saving points in the game and I just have to stop playing at the time, that's when I use Save States.

I'm conflicted about this one I tend to favor save states because of the obvious advantages not to mention the fact that the roms' in-game save states don't always work. But on the other hand using save states really takes out some of the challenge if you use them too much. So after i beat a game I usually go back and beat it using only in-game save states or better yet if I got some extra time on my hands, no saves whatsoever.

Well, I dont use save states unless I absolutely positively have to. The reason for it is sometimes, if I use a save state, then play the game and dont save for a while, sometimes my finger accidentally bumps the F1 key, which then loads my game back to the save state, and my data up to that point is lost(I'm really clumbsy!).So I just use in-game saving instead.

If you play Pokemon, then I recommend you ingame save. If you cant save ingame, then find a way to save other than save state or download patch. You can "switch ingame save" between R/B/G or Ru/Sa or G/S which has lots of things in common. Save state is a good way to save balls but to use all feature of the game, you should save ingame

I tend to use save states most of the time as I find it convenient to be able to stop playing whenever I want. I also use the in-game saves but only as a backup. Never hurts to idiot-proof things as much as possible!
