I use save states. I usually only do it when I'm about to fight a final boss or (in FE) when I'm about to do a move that I'm unsure of. Other than that, I just use the normal ingame save.

I save states very often. I even make backups in case if I screwed something.

Most of the times I save all the time. Often I just play the game for seeing the end. It can take a very long time if you have to do the same part over and over again if you save only at the regular save points.

I use save states A LOT. I am a save-aholic! Seriously. I save before making yes or no decisions in conversations, just to see each reaction! Yeah, I know I'm obsessive.

I usually only use it for rare or special instances. For exampale when I find a rare pokemon or when I am in a place where I am gambleing like a casino.

I can never find the .gba saves… there all .gsv or .sps… I never use them. They take the fun out of it…

I use save states all the time, although sometimes when I haven't played a game in a while, it's hard to remember which save state to load, they're usually in a lot of different places

all the time. i tink save state is the best ting that has ever hapened to GB. i was so irritated wif the console when u couldnr save ur progress 4 some of the old games and u had 2 play the whole ting again.

I use them pretty often.Especially in games like Super Robot Wars, where one strike of bad luck can ruin an entire battle for me, and those battles are so looooong, I don't want to have to do the whole thing over again.

I use save states a lot, probably more often than I should.I designate them usually like this:F1:most recent state, I use this often.F2:before bosses or dangerous fights usually, or before important conversations.F3:upon entering a dungeon or major area.F4+: reference- conversations or areas I want to see again for convenience, or older games.I just find them more convenient than regular saves- no menus, takes only an instant. Plus you can experiment more with them.

Let's face it, save states are handy because you don't have to rush to find a save point when it's time to get going somewhere like a job or an appointment. Also some game's save states don't work very well. For example, in Link's Awakening, you have to kill yourself on purpose in order to save the game, and that can be annoying when you have 16 hearts and a bottle of medicine on you. Also, when I played Pokemon Rescue Team, the save function didn't work and came up errors and that's annoying. So I tend to use them whenever I have to, otherwise I try to play it fair.
