I try not to use save states. I just use the in-game saves. But If i have to go fast and there isn't a save point near i just save state.

I use it each 3 minutes, I think. But I never tried to load those. I just save in case the computer suddenly shuts down.

Yeah, the save feature on my Pokemon Mystery dungeon Red Rescue doesn't work so I'm forced to use save states (makes it easyer to get legendarys!)

All the time, faster and more convenient than saving thru in game means. Besides, gotta get through Fire Emblem without loosing a single character!

I use save states because it saves faster and it also helps me undo things that are fatal or crucial. It sometimes makes me feel like a cheater...

I primarily rely on save states, because I can save anywhere using that method. I also back-up my save states by saving in the game.

Normally I use both, cause of the fear i'll mees something up, or the game will crash, guess I'm a little parinoid.

I use save states if the game is insanely hard, otherwise I normally use the ingame saves.

I use save states every time I play a ROM. It makes no sense to me to use the in game save when there is a clearly superior method of saving progress.

I tend to use savestates on GBA roms a lot because some of the games won't let me perform an in-game save so I just stick to savestates just to be safe.

Like many of the others responding to this thread, I use save states almost constantly. Quicksave before a battle, quicksave after a battle--and if it's a long one, maybe even quicksave in between. :s
