save states make the games so much easier. If you want to spend extra time doing things over when you make mistakes by all means don't save state. But otherwise saved states make gameplay far more easy and fun b/c you can do everything faster

BOTH!!!!It depends on the game, for games where it doesnt let you save much then its State, but if saving is easier then it's In Game (a/k/a "Battery" Save, named after the fact that in the real cartridge the RAM would be saved into memory hooked to to a batter). I use the other to back up:Games hard to save: Use State and battery as backup if my state(s) get messed upGames easy to save: Use battery and State(s) to backup in case state gets messd. Also I save state before I die and load afterwards to come alive. Sometimes I save instead of load and have to live with the fact I died :P

I use the save states of VBA the whole time for that it is but quick and easy that to use those of the game. In the VBA you can use the Sava States oppressing single two bottons (Shift + F1, F2, F3..... or F10) it is much more comfortable. XD

So i was looking at the topics for all the emulation about not being able to save and stuff so i started to wonder how many people used saved states or in game saves. me in particular i used save states for those quick mistakes i could have made.

i use save states also...i think it just loads faster. i guess i'm impatient...lol

Save states rock. No need to replay a whole level over and over again just because you messed up on one little thing.

I use both as well. I do it just to be on the safe side. As far as save states go, I think that there is nothing wrong with it. You should do whatever works best for you.

I try to use save states for when I have to get off and don't want to lose how far I've gotten between in game saves, but I usually bend and use the save states all the time <3

Savestates are highly useful, I use them all the time, I love them. <3 Sometimes I get carried away and use the savestate, like, every 3 minutes. :)

Well, they must be there for a reason. And, in my opinion, that reason is to be used. I love using save states. It helps a lot when trying to farm for items and other mindless, time-consuming in-game activities. I also love the speed-up function. But I sometimes use my actual GBA to play games, and it's just as fun.

Hah! What can I say? I almost though that the save state is a part of the save system of the game! That means I rarely use the REAL save system of the game. However, at least I never do thing wrong...

Depends on the game. Harvest moon, maybe only a few times a week (game time.) Zone of the enders, every time i attack or get attacked.
