When i'm playing a Pokemon game I just do in-game saving because you can save your game just about anywhere. But in more difficult games where i'm in the middle of something I prefer to save states.

Save States are cool and it suits for boss battles or something like that! But Ingame saving is good to use too.

Sadly... I do use it... And abuse it... >_> Recently, I've been trying not to... But yeah... It's just two presses away... Too tempting.

Yeah, I use save states too, but not always. It's annoying to go to the file menu, then click save. But I have to do that with Boktai 2.Anyway, does anyone knows how to fix the in-game save in the game, cos after I patched it, the in-game-save always says ' Save Failed '

Save States is better but it's good to have the game saved in both states and game savings.

I prefer in-game saving because, as has been stated above, save states can overwrite your data on accident. Also, it just feels better. However, when I need to save but can't, for instance in a boss battle, in a cinematic, or in a game that you just can't save in (like Gradius Galaxies) I use save states liberally.

I like to use both, but save states mainly for those important parts of the game (boss battle for example) so I can play them over and over ^^

I do both, just to be safe.Because if the save file I make becomes corrupt, I can rely on the save states I created.

i use both in game saving and save state. i use save state the most so it can act as a backup just incase my save suddenly crashes. i also use it when i need to go somewhere and i can't save the game on the spot like pokemon.

I'll typically use Save States and then, later on, forget to use them. I always start off fresh whenever loading up a new game.

save states are better than in game saves for example you can save when you have lowered a wild pokemon's HP and then keep using the same pokeball to capture itthis cant be done with in game saving but in game saveing is important for games such as pokemon fire red if you dont fix the in game saving you wont be able to trade pokemon and beat the elite four and youll get stuck there so in game saves are as important as save states
