Ingame saving. Convenience? Screw that. Beating the game legit? Awesome.I only use save states for scores that reset after you turn it off, aka arcade games.

saving states is better than in-game saving since what if youare constantly trying to beat a boss on vba you could you save and load using shift and/or F1,F2,F3 etc... keyboard short cuts to quick save and then load to the part where you didin't get hurt or anythingyou could beat a strong boss without losing health or anything.

Which COMPLETELY drains all the fun out it because the boss isn't hard anymore. The designers wanted you to take it out with one shot. Save states is like instant revives. Savestates are like hacking, only it's incredibly easy and a small accomplishment imo. And I dont like hackers.EDIT: Dammit I clicked Save States. Stupid poll :lmao:

i don't see how save states are cheating, but i use them, except when i have to actually save for something (i.e. resetting a gs code)

I prefer in game saving.. Especially before tough bosses.. Just before them, not during the fight.. I just get bored walking from save point to boss-battles.

save states withought a doubt... after all, its much faster and u dont have to wait until u reach a save spot or something like that.i try not to use it to cheat, but sometimes, i just can't help myself :D i use it to save just before a critical moment or before trying something stupid like attacking a lvl100 boss at lvl1 :D

So i was looking at the topics for all the emulation about not being able to save and stuff so i started to wonder how many people used saved states or in game saves. me in particular i used save states for those quick mistakes i could have made.

Save states... That's what I like... Though it may be classified as cheating...

Game state can use as a 'CHECKPOINT',as you are playing games like rpg, when the boss give you a deadly blow you are quite angry right??this save state will help you in your game.

Save States are so much better then In Game Saving. In Metroid, save states are very very nice.

Save States is the best but It has some draw backs..Saving at the wrong time using this will cause you to blow the whole game!

i use both, in turn games i use game states but the down side is the if u used save states once and the rest of the time normal save then if u press the F1 (load your save state) then your all of the in game saves you did from that point are deleted
