I use both, but sometimes Save States can mess you up like if you mean to save and you accidentally hit load and you get pushed back. So I use in game saves most of the time.

I use the in-game save, but I like the save state because it is faster. But I don't use the save state much because I keep on overwriting it by accident with another game and lose all my data.

Save states! In games like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy, one mistake means GAME OVER.

I enjoy in game saving, if you can set up the right save type before you start playing. My reasoning for this is that once you save in game, you are still allowed to use that save file for linking. I used to be into save states until i started linking with friends.

A combination of both is necessary, but in game saving has a slight disadvantage. Save states are for the most part, better than in game saving. For me, I hardly save in game, because the file is already gone the next day.

I use both, but I perfer save states. With save states one may say "Uh-oh,I haven't saved in a while and a hard boss is coming up.Better do it now." Without save states one would say "SOB I forgot to save!Ahh!!!That really hard boss that keeps killing me!I r ded!Screw this stupid game I quit!"So...yeah,save states ftw...(What does "ftw" stand for >_>?)

i usually save in-game unless it's an RPG or something where you need a save point.

well it's better if you use the save states beacuse you can correct your errors but if you have too much pride then it's good for you the in-game save.

It's a hard choice, but save states do override in-game saves anyways, so you might as well use those. It seem wehnever I get into a good RPG I always accidentally click load or save state at a terrible time and set myself back a few hours

I'll use a combination of the both depending on the game... if you can save anywhere in the game... well then there is really no point to save states...unless you are in a battle and can't save...that's why I use them both... save states and in game saves...

hey!!!! cmon you know that a state savegame is almost like a cheat; if you donīt do it right, you start over again, not a few secons ago

I always use save states. But a few times, I saved over my save state (while the ROM is loading in the beginning) causing all my data to be overwritten to that intro...
