I prefer Save states because you can pretty much stop playing at anytime you like and you can save and make up for those quick mistakes or even to start at an ealier point without worrying about only having like two or three save spots if even that.

I use save state far more often than in game save. Actually I have the mania of always want to save for fear to lose even a small part of my current game and for that purpose, save state is very practical whereas in game save is longer to execute.

I use both, save states always, and in game save as a backup because sometimes i overwrite instead of loading. But when i want to save a special point in the game, (for making cheats or something like that) i save te game using save in the menu.

Save states are useful in pokemon. Battles are more easily won. Save you on pokeballs (I captured rayquaza, a very strong pokemon in a great ball, which is less expensive than superior balls.) Duplication (I send over stones, than just go to the save state just before I traded.

I love the save states because i can save anywhere even in a boss fight and still be in the same place. But u can lose data like that and accidently mess up and use a save state in the intro and never get to where u were. I use both!

I like a combonation of the 2. If I'm say on Zelda in the middle of a dungon and I have to quite I don't want to go running threw that dungon again.. so what I do is I save the game and than save state. I have found (in my snes roms) that when I save the game and I try to save a state from before I saved that game that it messes up the old in game save. So.. I try when I can to only use the In game save. But I also like using the save state for tricky spots in the game where I may die and have to go back to an earlyer spot. So just in case I save state and if I die than I can go right back to where I was. and is some games you can use the save state as a way to cheat the game a bit....

I always use save states. It gives u much more freedom than in-game saving. Also if u make a mistake u can reload and try again(i.e. cheating)Another reason to use save states is that it is a whole lot faster than in-game saving.

I use save states because1.If I lose a battle and have not saved it in a while i would rather start from the save state and not from the beginning. and2.Sometimes when you use cheats the cheats erase your save data.

I use ingame saving for games that I can so I don't just junk down my computer with loads of save states for every single game I play. I make save states for games that you can't save in game but not very often.

I personally prefer in game saving. It's the way you would do it on the actual cartridge anyways. I sometimes use save states during forks in the road or stuff like that, but ingame saving makes more sense to me.

save states because you can do it anytime you want in any game rather than in game saving because usually you have to be a certain place to save

I prefer to save state every once in a while just in case the game crashes or I have to go out. I in game save when I have the chance though.

depends on the game, if I play a game like Fire Emblem I use save states. But if I play a game like a Pokemon game, I use ingame saving since pokemon often requiers it when you do stuff like beating elite4 etc...

I think save states are kinda of like cheating, although i suppose they do come in handy when you realize you're late for your next class and don't have time to reach a proper save point in the game ^_^

actually, it's best if you used both, save states are good to use asa a backup save file cuz sometimes in game save saves there are errors, like unable to be loaded later on( i got one while i played boktai2) but, on the other hand, save states usually are counted as cheating, and mess up your real time clock in pokemons, boktai, and others i might don't know...it's up to you which to use(^^)(but i recommend making a backup)

I try to keep the experiance semi-authentic by using the in-game saving. You can cheat too easily with save states and it robs some of the game experiance. However, if the game only allows you to save at certain points and I have to leave for/get caught at work and have to stop immediately, then I'll use the save states.

Save states are more versatile, but in game saves are required for some game functions.
