I use save states, mostly I finish games without even using in-game saves. Yeah, it sometimes does feel like cheating, but, since I'm originally a PC gamer, I don't really feel that bad. (You can save anytime you want in most PC games, you know.) And sometimes some games can be insanely hard, that's when it doesn't feel bad at all.

I use save states more often than the normal saves. But I dont use it to beat bosses. I think of that as cheating

Save States... because it makes sure your save file is there. Otherwise, if you use in-game saving, there is a chance of it getting corrupted.

Well I mean it really depends, Its really easy to f up a save state (you might accidentally freeze your state while your dying) So if the game can save In-game on my computer I do that, but otherwise I save state.

I would say both just in case one doesn't work but since there's only 2 choices I have to say save state although it's cheating but it helps lol.

I use save states most of the time. It's faster and easier and can be done at any situation. I don't consider it cheating though.

i do remember one thing.
it took hours and hours but.
by the time i was done with it.
i was so involved. i didn't even know what to think.
i carried it around with me for days. and days.
playing little games.
like. not looking at it for a whole day.
and then. looking at it.
to see if I still liked it.
i did.

I feel that save states are like cheating, and I never cheat in a game. It's morally wrong for me. :D

I use both. Save states to save a position in case I messed up something important and an in-game save to load my file if I need to (And for a saving a clear data for certain games).

i say save state when its there for you to use. it definitely doesnt make a game as challenging, but its very useful in instances like chip trader in megaman battle network, where it saves automatically after you use it. oh, fire emblem too, in keeping all your characters alive. its a timesaver and a crutch, but i use it like crazy

Using Save-states is accually cheating. You can save on a save state just before a gamble or something, and loading your save state over and over until you win. I don't like cheating...But save states are easy if you have a game where you can only save on special save spots, like swords of mana etc. And if you don't have enough time to find a save spot, just press shift-f1 or so, and continue later :pirate:

I normally dont use them, but for Riviera, the game i'm playin' now, I used them right before I spend TP. Basically I'll accept any outcome, just as long as it wasn't a 100% wasted TP. call it cheating or w/e but why else would save states exist?

Darkness infiltrates the light
_Have you seen the sun?
Have you seen the sunset?
It is the sun that runs
_The darkness is instant
But in the morning light prevails
_And a new day begins

When you download, platform-specific DPs are used first.
DPs can be spent by using some platform-specific DPs and some global DPs.
That took a load off your chest, didn't it?

Most of the time I save in-game. I've played so many games, it seems like I'm supposed to do that. I don't like cheating until I beat the game anyways. Some games are just hard... (Superman on N64 anyone?) or can't be saved often. Then, I use them. Otherwise... why cheat?
