Boshiken: Yeah, save states do rule. I usually use both states and in-game saves when I play a game; states are more convenient, and allow you to save at any time, plus the fact that you can use them instead of game-saves, if you can't get that feature to work. However, there is a point to just using in-game saves occasionally; if you don't use states, the game can be more challenging, because you might not want to restart from your last save point just to do-over one event.

I use in Games..1. Easier to use generally2. If u hit F1 by mistake u could lose loads of data and its really frustrating. 3. I mainly play harvest moon so u can save whenever you like. However i use save states because it transfers on to USBs and CDs easier.

I mostly use in-game saving, but I've tried save states as well.Actually, I used both last night for my pokemon silver/gold.... my emulator can run both, but can only use save states for first player. I got a new emulator though, so we'll see.

i use both for emulators. i would use save states for a short period, load it and then save within the game for the update.

I use both. I find it much easier to just return to when i choose than when the game wants me to. it isnt really cheating because if you can use it, then why not? also, when i accidentally save when i dont want to or accidentally load when i want to save, i have the normal save as a backup as well.

I actually use both Save States and In-Game Save. I play and use save states then play a while to see what I'm doing and if I make a mistake or die then just load the previous save state and try again. Then once I've gotten past that point and am successful then use the In-game save.

I prefer save states as many people do but i only use save states as i dont really have to pause as long... Also because its easier although i think its cheating.

I use both in different situations. After beating a big dungeon or right before on, I use the in-game saves. I as am actually inside the dungeon, I use save states. This way it is easy to remember where I am.

I use 3 save states per game... 1st slot for the beginning of like a section of a chapter, save 2 for the current state, then save 3 for the beginning of the entire chapter, just in case I make a mistake =P
