I like to play MK with my friends. And SF when I'm in the arcade and SC when I'm at home.

Streetfighter is what I grew up with. Mortal Kombat as well, but MK doesn't even play like it used to any more >.< . Soul Caliber is fun, but not Street Fighter fun.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but Capcom vs. SNK 2 should have been quite a great piece of work there for PS2. Not only including the original/usual cast of Street Fighter characters, but also the famous characters from King Of Fighters.Graphics-wise, definitely impressive, especially when the "attacks" appear.Anyway, I understand Soul Calibur had good strategic gameplay, but too much of it may get you confused sometimes : P.- Orion

i like SC cause i like fighting with different swords or stuff like that,there is a samurai and just having the possibility of changing your weapon is something that hits my taste(sry for that bad english)street fighter is one of these bare hand beat em ups and if i want to play one i would rather play tekkenmortal kombat is a splatter beat em up which i like but the fun factor is not as high as it is in SCat least thats what i think

street fighter by far. SF3 3rd strike is a freakin awesome and quite technical 2d fightermortal kombat, imho, was never a fighting series to be taken seriously. i don't think that even contended as a real arcade fighter until deception. til then it was just an excuse to see a lot of gore!i like soul calibur, but in general i prefer 2d fighters to 3d fightersthe poll's leaving out some great fighting series, though. above street fighter i'd easily place the guilty gear and king of fighters series
