I strongly disagree.What kept me playing through all of the Final Fantasy RPGs was infact the story, and yes, getting stronger was fun, but no story, and I wouldn't have wanted to play.Although, the lack of real "story" in pokemon is noticable, so I can see where you are coming from.Its more of a "hack and slash" RPG, since it revolves around fighting and not the storyline.but like all RPG's, getting stronger by lvling is what it is actually all about, not the story
