Dare to call Jhonen Vasquez lazy again and you will pay. (Becomes mad like Gaz) YOU will PAY.They weren't lazy. They even begged that the show was moved to MTV but Nick refused. It had 2 seasons. Season two not completed because Nick canceled it.How many seasons did it have? Maybe they just had some lazy writers.
Totally right. Nick wanted a cartoon aiming for older viewers and then they cancel it because it has bad rating. Lol how can you watch Invader if the time when it airs is always moved and it is in the mid of the night? I'm still mad I can't see the ending of Invader Zim. And Nick forbid to show Bloody G.I.RWell at least they put up revenge by showing bloody Gir several times without Nick knowing it.Invader Zim was the greatest cartoon on Nick. It should've never been canceled. Whatever, I'm gonna sing the doom song now. Doom doom, doom doom doom, doom doooom...was on at 10am Sunday morning, one of the worse time-slots for cartoons, you have people going to church, kids who want to sleep in (me), teenagers that have to work Sundays. So the ratings dropped, plus I bet some parents complained about it so that was it's ultimate doom. Oh, and it had to contend with Fairly Odds and Spongebob, for people who don't know Zim and the Fairly Odds came out at the same time.

Another factor could have been budget or something similar. It was dropped because Nick decided they didn't want it anymore. Simple as that. It wasn't due to violence (look at Rocko's Modern Life or Ren & Stimpy). The biggest problem though was that Invader Zim was marketed completely wrong. It should have never been aimed for children due to the fact that the comedy was more satyrical and required a more developed mind to watch it. By the time the proper audience began to find Invader Zim, it was already pretty much over. Only us long running and all loving Jhonen Vasquez and Roman Dirge peoplies probably got into Zim at the ground floor. There were rumors that Invader Zim was going to MTV, but that apparantly fell through. Either way, it was a great series.. It had a great run and like many excellent series, it just didn't last as long as it should have.
