Luigi is the Scottie Pippen to Mario's MJ. They don't call them the Super Luigi Bros. (Yes, I know Mario is Luigi's last name too...)

Luigi is better in games like Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., those who are different from Mario RPG's and adventures style.

Coming down to it it's pretty tough. I never really liked overrated things so Mario is on my hate list. luigi is more down to earth and has a better look than I can see. But seeing as Luigi was originaly a pallete swap of Mario...Mario WINS.

doesnt it depend on the game? whether its the platformer or mario kart or some other game....for the platformer i like luigi better
