:P Is a wireless controller worth buying or is it just a waste of money?

Cons:1. You can be in the middle of playing a game then the battery runs out.2. If you accidently change the channel on the controller or the reciever, it can be a bit of a pain to put back in a hurry.Pros:1. Very long battery life, I have only changed mine i think like, 5 times over the past 2-3 years.2. Long range, (30 ft, give or take)3. No cords getting tangled.Hope that helps, they are what, 20 bucks now? I got mine for 30 a couple years ago, so yeah..I think its worth it if you like GC. -=Bajawoojie=-

If, you know, you want to kick back on your bed and play games all night...and the system and television is across the room, i think wireless is the way to go...otherwise, it doesn't really mattter.

Wireless controllers are great as long as they are not made by Pelican. God forbid you buy one of those controllers.

I use my Wavebird almost exclusively because the cords are not long enough to reach my couch on my regular controllers. My only gripe with the Wavebird is no rumble funcionality. :)

Meh, I just stick with my good ole regulatr controllers and extension wires that get stuck in the controller ports. Still, definately worth getting. The platinum ones could be a rarity someday. Yeah, get it. As long as you keep your back up controllers for when your battery life dies out, everything will be just fine :)

They are a little over priced and obviously the batteries dying in the midle of a game is a pain but...they certainly are the future and are much nicer without all the wires.

I was a little worried about the batteries dying during a game but if they last that long and since we use rechargable batteries it might be worth it, especially if we charge batteries in-between use. Definately easier to keep control of the wires and safer for those walking through the room. Also, less chance of pulling the GC onto the floor.

Wireless is awesome, but just too expensive and kinda heavy compared to the original controller. But I suggest it to anyone buying a gamecube or new controller

For the most part, Wavebird is great, but it has no rumble feature. The battery life is really long, I think its 40+ hours. It has 15 or 16 channels (I'm not sure why) and it has a really long distance.I reccomend getiing one, but only one, they're a little pricy.
