I can tell you that I've never had a problem with my wireless controller. It rules, and I'm glad I spent the money to get it. B)

I'd say that as long as someone doesn't get in the way (between you and the TV) while you're playing, then a wire-less controller could be usefull. At least you won't drag the console down from the TV-shelf and break it...But if someone gets "in the way " while you're playing a game that you can't put on pause or quick-save on, then a good old controller with a wire should be usefull...

My only gripe is that the batteries could die in the middle of a game, but that's it. So yeah, I'd say go for it.

I would have to go with the original wires and all. Although the wireless has a lot of nice features its not as reliable as the wired controller

I like wireless controllers. But ONLY buy the Nintendo brand ones. The otehr ones are very fragile/defective.

Well it seems to be the same as the regular ones ... never had any problems with them whenever I've used them.

If you buy the one that is by Nintendo, it's not that bad. It runs on AA batteries, and they last a long time. (Depending on what type you buy I suppose) I got my wireless in Feb of '05 and the batteries still haven't died yet. You can go pretty far with it, sometimes you can even play from another room. (Except you'd probably die or mess up) And plus, no tripping on wires, which I so love to do with my PS2. The problem is, sometimes it acts funny, but if you turn the controller off then back on, usually that solves most problems.
