I started playing Pokemon 10 years ago, I have chosen Charmander. I became addicted very fast. I thought it very funny of yellow to have your stupid pikachu wiggle behind you! My favorite became Green. (Japanese only). I got stuck at one point, and I think that was one of the reasons why I began to study Japanese. Gold and Crystal were even better with the Day and Night scheme and the little walkie-talkie. And then there came for a long time nothing, and then playing it all again with Saphire und LeafGreen was much fun. I finally collected all my Pokemon in Emerald, and there it became a little bit boring, breeding for movesets, leveling up all you favorite Pokemon to level 100, trying to find someone to trade and play with. Now I'm deeply involved in game mechanics, have Pokerus whenever I want, know by heart the best movesets of my favorite pokemon, catched 3 shineys. And now there is Diamond/Pearl with 106 more Pokemon to catch. I really waited long for these games, but I'm not really sure if I will have as much fun with them as with the previous versions. I'm getting a little bit to old for Pokemon, too.

You said it so well, I think I have almost nothing to add to it. =)

It depends whether we really like pokemon on not. If we really like it, there will never be enough pokemon. On the other hand, if we don't like it, there will always be too much pokemon. And since Nintendo keeps on making pokemon games, it seems that pokemon lovers are still very numerous around the world. However, even if I really love pokemon games, I think some new features in the next games will be welcomed.

pokemon is not good on tv or on game boy advance :)

Well, I guess I did get tired of it at some point, after playing the game over and over again, but that would be because nothing really changes; the gameplay remained the same throughout. But then I always seem to come back to liking it, when I find something new I want to try.
