Gamecube >all. Too bad it doesn't have GTA or FFX, though. Other then that, PS2 doesn't have a whole lot of good games. That's why I prefer GC.

GameCube by far. For one, the controller is sooo much better. My favorite controllers are as followed: GameCube > Nintendo 64 > Microsoft Xbox > PlayStation 2. Also, the games are more fun and GameCube has more of a variety of games than PlayStation 2. Also, the price for GameCube is one hundred bucks, while PlayStation 2 is one fifty. So, GameCube is like 66% of the price of a PlayStation 2. The portibilty between the GameCube and PlayStation 2 is GameCube by a mile. Even a blind person can see that! And Nintendo makes quality systems, which take lots of effort to break. Sony purposly made the PlayStation 2 quality crappy so that customers would have to keep buying them. Of course, Sony quit that when they got a huge lawsuit... anyway, PlayStation 2's are always get Disc Read Errors. Its funny, for about every GameCube that gets a Disc Read Error, 50+ PlayStation 2's get them. I could go on all day about different reasons why I feel GameCube is better, but I'll just stick with these main reasons.

Oh yeah, forgot about how great the controller is. PS2's controller is too small, while Xbox's controller is too big. And for the fact that it's hard to break, that's true. Only system that's more durable than GC is Xbox, I've read something about an Xbox resisting a bullet once. But what would you expect from a system as huge as an Xbox

Best PS2 game I have played:MGS2:Sons of libertyBest GCN game I have played:Soul Calibur 2/Metroid Prime/Super Monkey BallI cant decide wich is the best. I havent played a lot of PS2 games, but I have read a lot about them,seen trailers and heard from friends. And they seem great.I´m gonna get a PS2 as soon as I have enough money to buy it.

I play PS2 more. You can easily squeeze hours and hours of fun out of games like SOCOM and Madden 2004. I don't care what you all say, First Person Shooters and Sport games are fun as hell.

they are both good, but GC is better in multiplayer games like Smash Brothers Melee ,but PS2 has more RPG's, couldn't live without those RPG's

GCN sucks because of the major RPG issue. However that will all change in the upcoming future because mor RPGs are to come out for GCN.

The PS2's strength is really the amount of support game developers have given sony since they released it. SUre they have a lot of games in the market but most of them aren't that great.The Cube's strength on the other hand, is its wide array of exclusive Nintendo titles (we all know what they are).I own both a PS2 and GC and I can say that the cube keeps me glued on my seat more than the PS2.

GCN is lacking rpg wise, but just casue a system isn't doing well in one type of genre, doesn't automatically make it suck. GC has a truckload of games that make up for its rpg deprived self, i'm not going to spend my time naming them b/c this whole board mentions a lot of them already. Just like janwa said, one of nintendo's strenghs is its mass amount of name brand titles, either being sequels, remakes, or new additions to titles seen in previous systems of not only nintendo but other companies as well. So try out some of the many other gamecube has to offer, or look into the ones coming up, casue GC still has a long way to go B)GCN sucks because of the major RPG issue. However that will all change in the upcoming future because mor RPGs are to come out for GCN.

Cube is a better console,but PS2 has far more games,i myself like GCN more because of the games they make (SSBM,TLoZ:WW,MP and so on),but thats just me.I got Gamecube and PS1.

I have noticed that many games on GC have better graphics but PS2 has alot more games so i probably like GC better

PS2, GC is my 2nd fav and X-Box would be 3rd. Only reason why PS2 has the worst graphics is because it came out first before the others and the console makers heard Sony mention something to use the full potential of the PS2, so they copied what they said and voila better graphics.

PS2 has better games than NGC in my opinion, NGC has games that are made for children! Plus, PS2 has a bigger variety of games..and the final fantasy series are awesome

I like GameCube, but PS2 is very good too. PS2 has more games, but GC is cheaper and has better games.

Woh there fella! GC might have games for children but they're enjoyable for all ages. And there's some M games that are really good, like MGS:TTS.Some games like viewtiful joe are really good, GC is for all ages.PS2 has better games than NGC in my opinion, NGC has games that are made for children! Plus, PS2 has a bigger variety of games..and the final fantasy series are awesome

From the beginning i was thinking about PS2 or Xbox but i choosed GC and im glad i did it because i was going to choose PS2 cuz of the RPGs but now i have seen games like The new Legend of Zelda game and Tales of symphonia! so thats why im glad i did choose GC! B)

Although Xbox is my personal opinion as the best system (due to HALO!!!! among other games such as ninja gaiden and the option of system link play etc.) In the Arguement of GCN vs. PS2 i'd say GCN deserves the gold. The reasons are many such as the 4 player games whereas playstation gets only two original slots. ALSO, the controllers for playstation are boxy and uncomfortable compared to gcn (also because the wireless controllers for GCN arent a foot long in length like the PS2 ones i've seen). Gamecube is also easily transported cause of its size of discs and system. Playstation has kickass games BUT the system is crap, if those games were on GCN and Xbox then no one would like PS2. Of course, these are only my personal opinions
