I was gonna do a pole but i figured i dont listen to all the rap that all you guys listen too. Like Petey Pablo, Ying Yang Twins, Lil Jon, Lil Flip, you know, all that **** that they play on the radio that isnt really rap but people like it because its catchy and has a tight beat. I mostly listen to The Roots, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, Notorious B.I.G, all that ****. So what do you guys think?

Sadly, all I can say is that I do listen to the radio rap and thats what I like, only because I have never gotten an opportunity to get what you are calling REAL rap. Hm...I have honestly never heard of the roots, and Kweli, and them. I should check them out and get some, cause i download songs, so i will see what REAL rap sounds like.

Maybe the most-selling-rap-artist of all time?? Emenim ANY One?!? now im from detroit..and he can act..he can rhyme..and Infinite was a masterpiece..

The rap that goes into my ears is mostly Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Lil Wayne, An Linkin Park (they do SOME rap... sorta), and Kanye west...Also, Shing02, Fort minor, & Substantial aint bad either...

as bad as it may seem on the surface, i'm really enjoying a lot of this new southern rap. rick ross, lil wayne, and t-pain all spring to mind immediately...what i really enjoy about this form of rap is that it's really recognizing where it comes from actively. i mean, at this point you can hear newer southern rappers like plies and young jeezy on tracks with older southern rappers like trick daddy and birdman. for the most part, other forms of rap are currently trying to forget where their regional forms come from, new york hip hop has been steadily turning its back on its older artists in an attempt to shed their old skin and forge something new. southern rappers seem much more interested in perserving their lineage...sorry, guys, had to geek out on rap for a bit. hahaalso, the sugarhill gang were not the original rappers. you should perhaps do some research. try "the last poets".

i'm a Eminem fan since 2000,so Eminem, . .then Bone Thugs N Harmony, Dr Dre, Ice Cube,Twista,. .i'm not into those little artists such lil flip,lil wayne and so on,they totally disgust me!

Honestly, I don't like rap at all.I've heard some popular song (the ones you heard when turn on the radio) and nope, just no. I think they're just a person speaking so quickly trying to make a rythm of that, I don't consider rap artist as singers. Sorry, not my type. Maybe is what Sutoomu said, I've never listen real rap.
