mine lately would be madvillain. madvillainy is an awesome album. i also have always like Cee-lo (gnarls barkley) and andre3000. Spank Rock is also awesome, YoYoYoYoYoYo is a great album.also wu-tang, especially Method Man and rza

I suppose I'm with you about that crap they play on the radio.but I like a bunchInsane Clown Posse being my fave, but I like alot of old skool s**tlike Public Enemy, Run DMC, Beastie Boys Etc.funky hip hop.a bit of slick rick.but yeah mainstream rap is basically crap in comparison to underground or old skool hip hop.

I enjoy Talib Kweli and Jedi Mind tricks for the combination of lyrics and melody. The "hollywood" branded rap doesn't seem to have any lyrics I can relate to like Talib or Jedi, but I do enjoy the melody of most of it. Many Men by 50 cent is, by far, one of the catchiest songs I've heard, but it's value is not comparable to Talib Kweli's Get By or Kanye West's Homecoming (I was just awestruck when I realized at the end that he was talking about Chicago, not a girl, metaphorically anyways). Public Enemy is also worth a search if you're looking for new music.

Nas, Eminem, and Common.Though I would prefer people who dont like rap at all (and have no favorite rappers) to no post at all. we know the reason you dont like rap: because you hear only mainstream.
