there are so many emulations now i think it'd be really cool if they just made them a little simpler to use. Some of us are only smart enough to know where to get them, we aren't computer geeks and don't know how or have the time to figure out all the special computer lingo to get a good emulator to work.

I got my first taste of emulation from my dear older uncle, who was playing... some Genesis game or other on Genecyst. (yeah, this was a long time ago) I followed suit with the same emulator, but I can't remember what my first game was. Might have been Phantasy Star IV, but I wouldn't put that past my own personal bias. I only got carried away with emulation since I can't really afford most of the games I lust over, or even the systems to play it on. x_x; Trust me, if I had a nice, solid income, I would own every single game I've ever emulated!...Okay, maybe not every game, I'm sure Chronicle of Radia War would be tough to get a hold of.

My brother was always talking about it. And then he mentioned that it would be a great way for me to play a bunch of classic games without having to buy the system/ game.

My friend was talking about how she couldn't stop playing Earthbound on her computer. I asked how that was possible and she explained. I've been using emulators ever since :]

I'd heard about it before on several websites, since it was about games that had not been released in english. :) I wanted to play them too, so I got a bit of help from a friend. :D

Blame my brother. I remember him downloading SNES and I was just against it 100% but... surprisingly... when he downloaded those 1st roms, Earthbound and Secret of Mana. I was hooked! He wasn't a big rpg fan, but I definitely was, I had always wanted those on my own SNES but I never got the money to but it from my parents.

A friend of mine had a genesis emulator, and was playing the Japanese game Sailor Moon. I went home and started playing around and got zsnes with street fighter 2.

I got into emulation when Pokemon first came out in North America. I wanted to get the game, and I found it online, and I just downloaded the ROMs. At that point, I downloaded games for MAME, GBA, N64, PS1, etc.

A friend had a modded XBox with every NES, Genesis, and SNES game on it, as well as a few full versions of XBox games. I couldn't believe such a thing existed...finally, all those games I stupidly sold away over the years...I could play them again! Hooray for emulation!

For classes without comps, sleep and dream of gaming. When you have comp classes at school, it is funner to play emulators than to work. I got my first emulators from a friend over the system.

about 10 years ago. I found out that we could play gameboy games on a PC! wow! so I downloaded quite a few of them. Then, I turned out to genesis and snes emulators. It was mostly to check out games that were never released here (Europe). but, not only. Then, I started working and spent most of my disposable income on videogames anyway, like buying games and all. Then, when the GBA and the DS were released, I got interested in homebrew development and here I am.

I got into emulation after a school friend let me try some of their emulation once. When I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I gave him a call and he sold me a gram of emulation. Ever since then things have got worse. I stole from my mother and I stopped going to school all because of emulation.

I first heard about emulation from a friend of mine. Pokemon had just come out and was all the rage whilst I was a 7th grader. Parents wouldn't buy me a gameboy + pokemon so I was given a copy of No$GMB and the pokemon red and blue roms. Took a long time for the concept to click but sooner or later Stella, Nesticle, Gens, Zsnes, etc. caught on. Today I stick mostly with VisualBoyAdvance and Zsnes.
