I'm a self taught EMU fqan. I stumbled across it one day and said "NO WAY I can blend all my old systems into ONE on my PC!" -I've never looked back

I first found out about it from a friend, but my computer was pretty much too crappy to try to use one on. But later (when I had a better comp), I needed an SNES emulator so I could play the Violinist of Hameln game... Er forgot what the first emulator I used was called. I just know it's the best SNES one for Macs. I don't like using emulators if I don't have to cause I like having lots of extra harddrive space. Also, with most of the games I'm interested in, my computer wouldn't handle it nearly as well as the console. XP Only emulator I have on this computer is an N64 one. I was just too lazy go get out my N64. =<

My earliest memory of emulation was back in 6th grade when me and a friend were playing DOOM on a teacher's computer since his son had installed it there. Then more detailed about it was in 8th grade when a computer teacher wanted to keep us off the internet so he would have us play ROMs that were installed in each computer. He must've had over 100 SNES games on there and was using ZSNES if I'm not mistaken.Fast forward a couple of years into high school. One of my close friends let me borrow his CDs and one of them had a couple of emulators and ROMs, so I ripped them onto my computer and the rest is history.

I got into emulation after sitting through a boring lecture one day and seeing the guy in front of me play Mario 64. I knew I had to have, though I'd never heard of roms or anything. I googled it and found Project 64-Mario 64 was my first rom. Now it's a sick addiction and I love it....
