I played street fighter turbo and kof 96 on my friend's comp back in high school. Then I did some research on my own, and got hooked on em.

A friend sent me ZNES with Dragon Ball Z legend of the super saiyen and i have been hooked since. What is funny is I found this site before he did. I sent him and another friend of mine the link to this site and now they are both members here. This is a great site and I hope it stays the way it is for years to come.

My first emulator was a game boy colour one - at this point I've forgotten which one. I was on AOL around 1999 or so (much to my shame) and I remember people always talking about these things called "roms" that let you play Pokémon on your computer. Finally found some ROMs and haven't looked back since.

I don't exactly remember how I got into emulation (back in 2002/2003) but I do remember that a large period of when I first got into emulation was spent lurking on Acmlm's board, a romhacking community, back when I did some playing around with editors for Metroid 1, SMB1, and Pokemon Gold/Silver.My first console emulator was JNES, and the first rom I got for it was Metroid. There was a period of time when I completely forgot about emulation and just did online gaming, but recently I have returned. The first emulator I downloaded after that happened was Project64, and the first rom was Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

I don't remember how I found out about emulation... but I do remember it was near the beginning. Probably back in 97-98. The first emulator I got was a Genesis one and i tried running Toejam and Earl and it ran slow and the sound was garbled. So I figured I'd wait a few years till it got better. I came back to emulation about 3 years ago and have gone crazy downloading everything I can. SNES, Genesis, NES, SMS, GG, NEO GEO, GBA, GBC, N64 and I'm still working on it.I have enough games to last a life time! The hell with Xbox 360!

HAh.. i learned it from my cousin..I remember he showed me some hacked up version of an old school zelda game for super nintendo. HAHHA it was pretty funny. After that i pretty much ended up getting emulators like VBA and ZSNES.

A friend of mine talked me into playing Sonic games in a Sega emulator. Since then, I've been playing with them. Has been... six years, I think. GBA, Sega, SNES, PSX, NeoGeo, NES, Sega CD... and I don't remember others. :)

I first heard about it on some message boards. Decided to search for it with Kazaa. I got the RockNESX emulator and a ROM bundle with 100 games. It was a sloppy mess back then, but now I've got everything in neatly organized folders.
