I was curious and stuck a PS1 game in my computer and realized I could browse the files. I researched and found "BLEEM" which is utter crap and didn't even think to retry to like 2 years. I emulated N64 first, then SNES, and later everything. I was happy when I figured out how to make ISO files of PS1 games. That was the BOMB!

I'm an avid internet surfer, but I'd never really stumbled upon emulation until a couple years ago. I think I was just stunned that you could play console games on your computer. I finally got a gamepad, and I've loved it ever since!

My cousin gave me games to play on the computer and he showed me how to use an emulator, I was 5 and I didn't understand what he was doing. 9 years later, I recalled it when I downloaded an emulator and roms when I realized this was what my cousin showed me and now I'm using ROMS and EMULATORS

I just figured you could get everything else on the internet, why not video games. I just searched for games and the rest is history. First game i think was Super mario bros.

It pretty much started back when Seiken Densetsu 3 was first translated into English by Neil Corlett. Some younger kids I knew that went to school with me were talking about it and how to get it (we were all Secret of Mana fans, go figure). That's when I got introduced to SNES emulation... when Mario Adventure came out, that's when I really got into rom hacking... yea, so that's my emulation history for ya... besides the fact that I've really dropped off on the rom hacking a lot but haven't so much on just playing games through emulators.EDIT: random side note, a site that I went to a lot for a short time was The Cult of Kefka, too bad that site went down... even though it really didn't have a lot of roms... it was good at the time it was one the web, though!

I blame the SailorMoon game and Kirby for getting me into emulation (SNES). Then I just started to download more and more and more and more. :rolleyes:;;

I played FF7 and FF9 on the PSX.I loved them SOOO much that I wanted to play FF1-6 no matter what (I didn't know about them at all).Then my brother in law told me about emulation and all.I guess my first emulated games I played were FF1 and Castlevania on NES with VirtuaNES, and on the SNES Secret of Mana, FF5 and FF Mystic Quest with SNES9x.Since then I loved those systems and games so much I actually bought both consoles (used) and several games, including rare ones, for them. I still have no real copy of old Nintendo FF games, because they are WAY too expensive.

What I remember is that a cousin of mine gave me a Famicom emulator with Kirby and Mario games.. By that time I didn't know what it was, I just played it all the time.Then, when I grow up I started researching information about emulators, and started making my collection of GB roms using the BGB emulator, which I really liked. And here I am... Almost living of emulators... Jej..
